Create your landscape model
Mountains, canyons and coastlines, shaped from open elevation data.
1. Find your place
Search, then drag the map to fine-tune. The square shows exactly what your model covers.
2. Choose a size
3. Zoom
Zoom out to fit a whole canyon or range, or zoom in to bring out peaks and valleys in more detail. The model stays the same size.
1x · covers about 9 mi on each side
Colors
Pick the rock color. Snow, forests, grass and water are the same in both.
4. Preview your model
See the terrain in 3D, in its frame, built from the same elevation, water and land cover data as your model. Snow sits on the high peaks and glaciers, forests are green with a fine tree texture, grassland is green, and water is blue, with lakes and the sea leveled flat, as shown here.
