About Block & Ridge
Block & Ridge makes small, exact models of real places: the neighborhood you grew up in, the city where you met, the ridge you hike every weekend. Every model is made to order for one customer and one place, so each one is one of a kind, and every one is crafted in Peoria, Arizona.

How a model is made
- 1
Your square of the map
You pick the area. We pull its streets, buildings, parks, water and elevation from open map data, the same sources many map apps use.
- 2
Shaped from the data
We turn that data into a model: terrain shaped from elevation data, buildings raised from their mapped outlines, trees as small domes, each part given its own color.
- 3
Made in our workshop
Every model is made to order in our workshop in Peoria, Arizona, in four colors: sand ground, ivory buildings and roads, green parks and trees, blue water. We finish and check each one by hand, then set it in its black frame.
- 4
Packed and shipped
Each model is packed by hand and shipped from our workshop in Peoria, Arizona. You get a tracking link by email when it ships.
The data
Models are built from open map and elevation data. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, with building outlines also from Overture Maps. The data is made by volunteers and public agencies, so coverage varies from place to place.
